PARD Osprey 4K Multi Spectral Binoculars

Multi-Spectral Observation

The Pard Osprey 4K 256 provides separate thermal, daytime and night-vision channels within one binocular housing. Thermal imaging supports heat-source detection, while the 4K visible-light channel supplies additional visual information for observation during daylight and low-light conditions. Picture-in-picture mode displays a 2× central area above the main image, retaining the wider scene while enlarging the selected region. An integrated laser rangefinder measures distances out to 1,000 metres. The detachable infrared illuminator supports the night-vision channel without permanently adding its full weight when supplementary illumination is unnecessary.

256 × 192 Thermal Channel

The thermal channel uses an uncooled VOx detector with 256 × 192 resolution, 12 µm pixel pitch and NETD of no more than 15 mK. Its 50 Hz frame rate supports continuous observation of moving heat sources. A 25 mm objective lens provides 4× magnification and a 7° × 5.3° field of view, equivalent to 12.3 × 9.2 metres at 100 metres. Focus extends from five metres to infinity. Selectable 2×, 3× and 4× digital zoom allows closer inspection of the thermal image, while the manufacturer states a thermal detection distance of 1,200 metres.

4K Night-Vision And Display System

The visible-light channel combines a 3,840 × 2,160 sensor with a 50 mm objective lens, 5.6× magnification and 0.001 lux sensitivity. Optical image stabilisation is incorporated into this channel to reduce visible movement during handheld observation and recording. Its field of view measures 6.6° horizontally and 3.7° vertically, with focusing from five metres to infinity. Images are viewed through dual 1,920 × 1,080 OLED displays. The viewing system provides 18 mm eye relief, -5 to +5 dioptre adjustment and an interpupillary distance range of 55–74 mm.

Recording, Power And Construction

Photographs and videos are recorded at 1,920 × 1,080 resolution, with JPG and MP4 formats respectively. Storage is provided through a microSD card slot supporting capacities up to 128 GB. Wi-Fi enables connection to the PardVision2 application, while the listed functions include loop recording, a microphone, gyroscope, electronic compass and firmware upgrade support. Power comes from one removable 3.7 V 21700 lithium-ion battery, with a stated maximum operating time of 4.5 hours and USB Type-C external power support. The IP67-rated housing measures 160 × 146 × 65 mm and weighs 809.5 g.
