Pixfra Draco D225-4K LRF Multispectral Thermal Binoculars (PIX-PFI-D225-4K)
The Pixfra Draco D225-4K is the compact entry-point into the Draco multispectral range, combining thermal imaging, 4K day/night optics and an onboard laser rangefinder. With a 256×192 <18mK thermal sensor, 1300m detection range and detachable IR illuminator, it’s ideal for mobile hunters and outdoor users who value lightweight versatility.
Key Features:
The Pixfra Draco D225-4K LRF Thermal Binocular is designed as the most compact and approachable model in the Draco multispectral line, offering serious capability without the bulk or price tag of larger flagships. Despite its entry-level positioning, the D225-4K carries the same 4-in-1 concept as the rest of the series: thermal imaging, 4K digital day/night vision, integrated laser rangefinder and detachable infrared illuminator in a single, ergonomic binocular platform.
At its core, the D225-4K uses a 256×192 vanadium oxide (VOx) uncooled thermal sensor with a 12µm pixel pitch and sensitivity of ≤18mK at f/1.0. This combination allows it to pick out small temperature differences and subtle heat signatures, with a thermal detection range out to approximately 1300m. A 25mm f/0.9 thermal lens and a base magnification of 4.3× provide a tight, detail-rich view, while digital zoom from 1–8× gives extra reach when you need to check distant game or scan further across open ground.
Alongside the thermal channel, the Draco D225-4K integrates a 4K (3840×2160) day/night digital channel based on a 1/1.8” CMOS sensor and a 55mm f/2.0 objective lens. This delivers a crisp full-colour image by day and a high-resolution monochrome view at night, with automatic day/night switching so the unit can move seamlessly from dusk into darkness. Base magnification on the digital channel is 5.5×, and with 1–8× digital zoom you have an effective range of 5.5–44× for identification and close inspection.
Both channels are viewed through a 0.49” Full HD 1920×1080 OLED display, paired with a high-magnification eyepiece to create an immersive, binocular-style sight picture. Pixfra’s PIPS 3.0 image processing applies AI-based enhancement to both the visible and thermal channels, sharpening detail and stabilising the image for more comfortable long sessions behind the binoculars. A choice of thermal colour palettes (White Hot, Black Hot, Iron Red, Alarm, Green Hot, Sepia) and digital viewing modes (Colour, Black & White, Green, Yellow, Auto) helps you tailor the image to conditions and personal preference.
Ranging capability is provided by a built-in Class 1 laser rangefinder with a maximum range of 1000m and ±1m accuracy, giving reliable distance information for fieldcraft, safe shot planning or general situational awareness. For very low ambient light, the detachable IR illuminator (available in 850nm or 940nm variants) extends the effective range of the digital night vision channel up to around 400m, depending on environment, with smart IR control to minimise overexposure at close distances.
The D225-4K runs on replaceable 18650 Li-ion batteries, offering around 9 hours of runtime at 25°C with Wi-Fi disabled. Charging can be done via USB-C directly in the device, through a power bank in the field, or using a separate charger for maximum flexibility. With IP67 protection, an operating temperature range of –30°C to +55°C and a net weight of about 0.61kg, the binoculars are built for demanding outdoor use. Integrated dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5GHz) and the Pixfra app allow wireless streaming, file transfer and remote control, while 64GB of onboard storage gives plenty of room for photos and video clips.
Finished with an ergonomic 600g-class body, menu memory, electronic image stabilisation, defog mode, GPS, compass and hotspot tracking, the Pixfra Draco D225-4K delivers a truly all-in-one observation tool for hunters, wildlife observers and security users who want to step into multispectral binoculars without compromising on core performance.
